With a few big ideas, a great deal of passion and a lot of hope, William C. DuBell, his son Charles, and his grandson Lester opened DuBell Lumber Yard, at 18th and Federal Streets in East Camden, New Jersey. Their goal was simple: provide superior customer service… and the rest will take care of itself. As the Camden Courier-Post reported in 1928, Charles DuBell’s motto was quite simple: “Service is synonymous with success”. Today, after nearly a century, steeped in the rich history of servicing the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware markets, DuBell Lumber Company continues to excel by providing exceptional service, creative & innovative solutions as well as superior products.
In 1971, the DuBell family sold the company to the DiMedio family, who were longtime residents of Camden, New Jersey and the owners of DiMedio Lime Company. The companies were located right next door to each other and the fit was quite natural. DuBell continued to prosper until 1981 when a devastating fire inflicted serious damage to the original Camden site. At that time, the company relocated its corporate office to Winslow, NJ. This property allowed for tremendous improvements in operational efficiencies because it was located directly on a rail line which allowed DuBell to take direct deliveries from major lumber mills across the country and, in turn, create a centralized distribution center throughout its region. As the Company continued to grow, it eventually moved its headquarters to Medford, NJ where it still resides today.

In 2005, DuBell expanded into manufacturing and opened a building components division in Millville, NJ where the company produces roof and floor trusses as well as wall panels. We have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted suppliers of components in our market…a reputation which does not come easily.
For those finishing touches which are so critical to every home, our talented team of award winning designers working from our beautiful showrooms, partner with residential customers and contractors to create custom and semi-custom kitchens and baths.
From our humble beginnings in Camden NJ, DuBell Lumber Company now operates out of seven strategic locations: Cherry Hill, Medford, Pleasantville, Millville, Vineland, Winslow, and we recently opened our new Kitchens by DuBell Showroom at a second location in Vineland, NJ.
