Wood is the traditional choice for beautiful decks. We stock Philippine mahogany, a lustrous natural wood that makes elegant decking. We also stock pressure-treated wood, with added preservatives and fungicide, which increases the life of your deck.
Philippine Mahogany
The rich reddish-brown color and uniform straight grain of mahogany decking adds elegance, distinctiveness, and value to outdoor living spaces. Because it is a natural wood, it needs to be sealed or stained to preserve its beauty and ensure its longevity. Traditionally, mahogany has been used for fine furniture and musical instruments; more recently, it has become popular for high-end decking. Phillipine mahogany (also called Luaun or Meranti) is a more economical alternative to American and African mahoganies.
Pressure Treated
Treated with a copper-based preservative and an efficacious fungicide, pressure-treated Wolmanized wood is ideal for applications including decks, retaining walls, fences, picnic tables, planter boxes, walkways, sill plate and structural members. With products suitable for both above ground and in ground contact uses, it comes with a limited warranty for most residential applications.
